BIO

In 2014 Jessica earned her MFA in scenic design from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Prior to her graduate work, she received a bachelor’s degree in visual communications design from Purdue. Throughout her time in school she worked in the scene shop as a student scenic artist, eventually being hired to do outside projects.

In addition to her work with Purdue Theatre, Jessica has been employed as a scenic artist for larger theatres, including the Ohio Light Opera, and the Cameo Theatre Group of Medina Ohio. She was also the charge artist at New Harmony Theatre in Evansville Indiana for two seasons. Since 2014 she has overseen several local high school and community theatre productions, working in various roles including designer, charge artist, and mentor. She is currently a high school art teacher but her long term goal is to eventually work at the collegiate level, while still continuing to instruct and inspire adolescent youth through theatre.
